The Ten Best Men's Trainers

The Ten Best Men's Trainers

Dunlop -
Dunlop has sold more than 25 million pairs of Green Flash, making it one of the all-time best-selling trainers. These iconic plimsolls now come in a range of colours and with various Velcro fastenings.
Fly London
If hi-tech fabrics and air-cushioned soles are anathema to you, check out the asymmetric charms of these eccentric shoes. Chunky, comfy but infused with laid-back cool - great for anyone who walks to their own beat.
Converse All Star -
Worn by basketball players and rock gods alike, Converse shoes have appeared on some of the coolest feet ever to walk the earth. Forget foolish limited edition versions and stick with the basic design.

Diesel
Tired of the tyranny of tying your shoe laces every morning? Try this retro canvas pair that dispenses with external fastenings all together. But fear not - they stay put on your foot thanks to under-tongue elastic.

Topman -
It looks like a plimsoll that's gone undercover as a brogue. Whether you think this is a dangerous hybrid or the epitome of smart casual wear, Topman’s take on the trainer is chic and understated.

Raf by Raf Simons -
This haute couture take on the high top has become a seriously trendy trainer. Those who remember the style from its Eighties heyday may be reluctant to sport them again but this Raf pair is the way to do it.

Nike Rift
Inspired by the footwear of ninjas - and the only trainer on the market that make you look like you have hooves instead of feet - Nike's decade-old Rift design remains cutting-edge
Vans
The slip-on sneaker sported by skaters for the last 30 years has proved so popular because it's cheap, comfortable and puts up with a lot of bad behaviour. Available in myriad shades and patterns.
Puma -
The slim-line shape of Puma’s Future Cat Lo trainers mean they give your feet a sleek outline. Those with big feet might want to go for a broader style, though, as the narrower the shoe, the longer your plates of meat will look.
Paul Smith -
Made from nappa leather and soft suede, Paul Smith's sneakers are reminiscent of an upmarket bowling shoe. Decorated with Sir Paul's signature stripes, they're funky without being over the top.

  1. I’ve just received my first pair of these trainer and very impressed. Having trained

and raced in the Gravity trainers for the season I am now planning slower longer base mile

runs over the winter. These Isaac “Guidance trainers” work very well both for Newton newbies

as well as for slower training runs where the original Gravity trainers are a bit too
