What to Look For in the Perfect Pair of Sandals

What to Look For in the Perfect Pair of Sandals

Sandals have been around for centuries, longer than any other kind of footwear that is used to this day. In fact, they could very well be the first type of footwear ever invented for all we know. People from all walks of life used sandals, from the lowest class of slaves to rulers of the land. Both men and women wear this type of footwear. Most sandals are made from highly durable materials, making it one of the sturdiest types of footwear today. In order to find the perfect pair though, you will have to make sure that the fit is right and comfortable.

Sandals are mostly used for casual occasions, but you can get away with wearing certain kinds to more formal events. Typically, sandals are worn for outdoor activities, like going to the beach or hiking, because they are very sturdy and can withstand rough and uneven terrains. These footwear come in many different styles and colors, but the most important consideration you should have in looking for that perfect pair is fit and comfort. After all, there's no sense in buying a cute pair of sandals when you won't be able to wear it anyway.

Besides comfort, it is also important to look at the level of support that a pair of sandals can give you. Make sure that it addresses the arch of your foot properly, as this is essential in maintaining proper posture and comfort while walking. The longer you stay in a standing position, the more pressure your feet are subjected to so it is crucial to use sandals that can take care of your feet as best as possible.

It may be quite challenging to determine the right size of sandals because of its open toe feature. The key here is to make sure that your toes do not go beyond the sole of the sandal, and make sure that the width and length of the sole is slightly bigger than that of your foot. It would also be to your advantage to buy sandals with thick and flexible soles, especially if you are planning to do a lot of walking wearing these sandals.

The quality and design of the straps is another thing you should seriously consider. When wearing sandals, it is important that the sole of the sandal stay against the bottom of your foot at all times, as opposed to constantly flapping underneath your foot. For this reason, you should find a pair with durable and adjustable straps that will be able to keep your sandals securely in place. As long as these requirements are met, you can buy the particular style of sandals that matches your preference in style.

Trainers – Footwear for the Famous

Trainers – Footwear for the Famous

Trainers are the footwear of choice for celebrities, from sport stars to pop stars.
Trainers, particularly leading brands like Adidas and Nike are the footwear of choice for today’s celebrity. From Noel Gallagher to David Beckham, it’s hard to imagine any leading male celeb without the obligatory pair of Adidas trainers, Nike or Puma trainers. In fact the Oasis bad boy of pop is said to be obsessive about trainers, collecting hundreds of pairs of retro Adidas trainers. And unlike most of us who wear our favourite trainers until they start to fall apart, Gallagher is said to keep his precious trainers in mint condition.
Trainers – Gallagher’s Addiction
Retro trainers and vintage trainers are collector items for some fashion aficionados. Gallagher told the press that he got addicted to collecting trainers to replace his drug addiction. He said his obsessive collection of trainers prompted his girlfriend to say he ‘had a problem’. But male celebrities do seem to be particularly smitten by this footwear fetish for trainers. Rap singer Puff Daddy, or P Diddy as he’s now known, hit the fashion headlines in 2000 when he may have been charged with criminal possession of a gun but his bling trainers ensured he’d have no issues with the style police. As part of a menswear collection for New York Fashion Week, the rap star modelled custom made trainers. Alongside the bling trainers studded with rhinestones, precious stones were embossed in his jeans, diamond cufflinks and chest chain and fake fur coats completed the rap star look dubbed ‘Ghetto Luxe’.
Vintage Trainers and the Music Scene
Trainers seem to be de rigueur for the music scene. Vintage trainers are sported on most indy bands feet, and the rock gods love trainers too – Slash from Guns’n'Roses is a fan of vintage Adidas trainers, as are rappers the Beastie Boys. Trainers is the footwear of the cool, inspiring almost religious obsession for those really devoted to trainers. There’s a whole sub culture of people who aim to find the ultimate trainers. In fact, the quickest route to being too cool for school is to find a pair of rare trainers – collectible trainers that are from dead stock, usually from a vintage brand like Adidas, Puma or Nike. Limited edition trainers are even shown the same reverence as great art – one boutique trainers shop in London regularly displays the most collectible trainers at specific private viewings.

Types Of Men’s Trainers

Types Of Men’s Trainers

The art of trainer shopping has evolved a bit over the years since there are now so many options available to you. Leather or canvas, high-tops to skater shoes there’s a pair out there guaranteed to suit anyone’s taste. To start you on purchasing a new pair of trainers, we’ve compiled a short guide to help you select the right pair for your own unique style and needs.
The Classic White Trainer – A timeless addition to any mans wardrobe, the classic white trainer can compliment most informal looks. Not only is it a great casual fashion piece, but it can provide an adequate amount of support for a variety of different sports the perfect catch-all trainer. However, if your new trainers are meant for a specific sport, then you should buy a pair that is specialized for that activity for the best athletic performance.
High and Mid-Tops – While these styles of shoes were popularized by basketball players, they still have a prominent presence in men’s fashion. Their ability to be hidden well underneath your jeans makes them a functional part of any mans wardrobe. In addition, their athletic ability is unsurpassed when it comes to high-impact sports as it offers much ankle support when needed.
Skater Style – The large profile of these trainers come with a substantial amount of comfort the padding on skater shoes borders on the obscene which makes for an extremely comfortable pair. However, the added padding comes with additional weight and lack of extreme flexibility, so high-impact sports such as basketball or running are not going to benefit from these trainers. Despite its athletic drawback, skater shoes are perfect for casual leisure and look great with jeans or shorts.
Canvas – A lighter-weight option for the casual attire is the timeless canvas trainer, which offers breathable protection for your feet while adding a bit of style to your look. The canvas shoe is more versatile than the skater shoe as it can be paired with either your casual wardrobe or more formal leisure attire such as a nautical sweater and a pair of khaki shorts. Canvas trainers come in all sorts of styles, such as the very casual designer look to the more formal appearance of the yachting shoe.
The options you have available in buying a pair of men’s trainers are obviously vast, but doesn’t have to be confusing. In order to eliminate some styles, think of what you’ll be doing most in your new shoes running, relaxing, playing a sport, etc. This will help you prioritize the types that will serve your needs, and then you can select a style that appeals to your wardrobe.

Make the difference by wearing a right pair of trainer shoes

Make the difference by wearing a right pair of trainer shoes
The market for dress shoes and sneakers is expanding but there is a void for good brands in trainer shoes. Sportsmen or athletes need footwear that is not only high quality thus catering to their specific requirements but are stylish as well. Trainer shoes become the ideal choice of the sportsmen then since they have a contemporary style coupled with a touch of class. The prices of these shoes also fall within budget if you look for them in the market while they can be had at even lower prices when searched on the Internet. In this category, cross trainer shoes can really make your outdoor activities fun to enjoy. However there are a few things that you need to keep in mind when buying these shoes:
Since outdoor activities offer a lot of challenging situations like being drenched in rain or any place near to water, your preferred trainer shoes need to be waterproof above all. Available in styles and sizes for both men and women, one should also ascertain that these shoes can be easily cleaned and washed. This is significant as many shoes lose their grace when washed just after a single wash. Cross trainer shoes however require regular washes.
Trainer shoes should also easily help you in walking around in snow, water or mud. The material of shoes should be closely examined by you prior to purchase. Thick and hard material ensures that snow, water or mud will not enter your feet. Next, it should be ascertained whether eyelets are made of metal or plastic. For the longevity of shoes, metal eyelets are always a better choice since plastic ones can easily come out or break. You should remember that though trainer shoes should look good but their practicality in aiding your outdoor trips takes precedence. These and other tips can make your purchase plan safe. It is important to buy a high-priced pair of trainer shoes which fulfills your requirements than something you would not like to show off or which does not come handy at the right time.
Venture into the great outdoors with confidence by wearing the right kind of trainer shoes this summer!

How to Wear Mens Trainers

How to Wear Mens Trainers

Mens trainers are the comfort blanket of the shoe world as they are lovingly pulled on for any occasion from walking to work to a night out in town. These old faithfuls see men through many an outfit and occasion as they’re a safe choice in footwear. The time comes though when it’s time to address the issue of your trainers and make sure you’re making the right choices in terms of style and practicality and that you’re making the most out of every pair you purchase.

Firstly, there are a few basic rules to stick to that, when followed, will ensure that your trainers look consistently relevant and fantastic. To get your basics right, stick with classic styles in Mens trainers from stalwart brands such as Converse, who always come up trumps in the design department. Up and coming trainer brands such as Nanny State and Goliath also produce some superb ranges of classic, understated styles in Mens trainers and stick to the basic rules of using subtle colours with just a touch of detailing to create interest. Invest in a couple of these classic Mens trainers as they will see you through many outfits and are the perfect match for casual wear but can also dress down a formal look and add an edgy twist to an outfit.

Another basic rule to get right is to avoid showing your socks off when wearing trainers. No matter how tempted you may be to go foot commando, you should always wear socks with trainers to avoid spending your wages on crates of Oder Eaters. It can be tricky to get the socks and trainers look right when wearing shorts during summer but a few pairs of trainer socks should see you through. One style which is making its way to the forefront of fashion is the ankle flashing turn up look. Think skinny jeans or slim fitted trousers with the legs rolled up ever so slightly to reveal a hint of ankle and a full view of your amazingly stylish Mens trainers. It’s a daring look and one that can be pulled off with some smart basic pumps such as the retro canvas Mens trainers demonstrated by Peter Werth.

No matter what style you are into, you should give Mens trainers which involve prints, glitter and loud colours some serious consideration before buying. These types of Mens trainers are notoriously difficult to wear and can undermine a perfectly decent outfit with their brash, intrusive style. If you are rocking a hip hop or new rave look then you might just get away with a pair of plush high tops but it really is best to spend your cash on trainers which you’ll be able to wear again and again rather than a one hit wonder.

Wearing Mens trainers takes more though than just throwing on your favourite pair. Next time you update your look make sure you invest in a pair of Mens trainers which look fantastic and can be worn lots of times. To find your new trainers check out the selection at Reem Clothing.

How to choose walking shoes

How to choose walking shoes

Walking is essential to good healthy living. Finding the right walking shoes is essential to walking! So how can you choose the best walking shoes for you?

Instructions

1: There are several things you'll want to look for when picking out a good walking shoe and several things you shouldn't look for. The first thing you must realize is, if you are serious about exercising this shouldn't be about what the design of the shoe looks like, but rather about how it will help you exercise. Looks aren't always that important!
2:
The shoe needs to be very flexible. Flexibility is a must because when you are walking your foot needs to flex, and you don't want a shoe that is too stiff.
3:
The shoe needs to have plenty of cushioning. If you are devoted to exercising like you should be, you'll be using these shoes a lot, so the cushion needs to stay intact.
4:
Don't expect the shoes to stretch out or become more comfortable over time. If the shoes are too snug in certain areas when you try them on, you'll want to move and find another pair of shoes.
5:
When you go to buy the shoes take a decent little walk around the store in them. The salesperson won't mind, and it is an absolute must to determine whether the heel slips any or if the shoe feels too tight anywhere.
6:

No walking in flip flops!
If you do nothing else at all, please make sure you wear shoes that support your feet when walking! That means no sandals or high heels. It sounds crazy but there are always a few who try to do this kind of thing.
7:
Most of all, take your time in the process. Finding the right pair of walking shoes can take some time, but it will be well worth it when you find the perfect pair for your feet

How to Choose the Best Cross Trainer Shoes

How to Choose the Best Cross Trainer Shoes

selecting a pair of cross-trainer shoes is a bit more complicated than your average footwear hunt. Not only should you take into account the type of sport you plan to engage in while wearing the shoes, but how they fit your feet and the athletic style. Special features add another aspect to consider when choosing the best cross trainers.

 Instructions

• 1Ask an expert such as a doctor or personal trainer to observe your feet as you walk and run. He should be able to tell you whether you are overpronate (if you have flat or fallen arches of the feet) or underpronate (usually with high arches and stiffer feet). This information can help you find the right cross trainer.
•  2
Think about the sports and activities you participate in and log onto the Web to read up on which cross trainers provide the best support for those activities.
•  3
Go shoe shopping, and take the sport socks you plan to wear with your new cross trainers to get a more accurate fit.
•  4
Try on different cross trainers to make sure your heels fit snugly in the back of the shoe and the ball of the foot fits in the wide part of the shoe with some breathing room. Also make sure there's some space between the front of the shoe and the tips of your toes.
•  5
Find a style that fits well and that you'll feel comfortable wearing frequently with your athletic gear.

Brace the sporting challenges with trainer shoes

Brace the sporting challenges with trainer shoes

It is absolutely vital to vent out your frustrations in the sports field. With trainer shoes, you could have the desired confidence to conquer your opponents. It is the footwear that goes well with sports making you charged up for physical exercise. The genre is termed differently in various regions. It is called joggers, sandshoes or gym boots (Australian English), gutties or runners, running shoes (Hiberno-English, Australian English, Canadian English), tennis shoes, sneakers (Australian English, North American English), canvers (Nigerian English), sports shoes, gym shoes, tackies and sneaks (Hiberno-English and South African English). In UK, the first of trainer shoes were made by Gola in 1968.
In Welsh English, athletic or trainer shoes are called daps, while they are referred to as sneakers in American English. “Sneakers” is another term used to elucidate sports shoes. It was created by an advertising agent in 1917 since the rubber sole made the shoe stealthy. It was basically for tennis that these shoes were used. Marathon runners, tennis and basketball players usually go for athletic shoes. However for games played on grass such as rugby football and association football, “Studs” is the term usually used for sports. Trainer shoes should have the capacity to absorb impact, carry an appropriate tread and embrace a flexible sole. Designs have evolved over the years with the attention for athletic shoes being focused more on the design of the bottom of the shoe as compared to the fine arts of the upper portion.
Some of today’s designs include Mary Jane, sandal and other styles that could make the players jump, run and dance. The sole of trainer shoes is made of dense rubber while they themselves are made of supple compounds. They have been tailored for other different purposes like track running also. These shoes are made available in very large sizes as well since some sportsmen have very large feet.
Brace all the challenges in the game field with trainer shoes and be a winner every time

Trainers shoes are not only comfortable but also very stylish you can always find style and innovation in Mens Trainers shoes

Converse All Star -
Worn by basketball players and rock gods alike, Converse shoes have appeared on some of the coolest feet ever to walk the earth. Forget foolish limited edition versions and stick with the basic design.

Topman -
It looks like a plimsoll that's gone undercover as a brogue. Whether you think this is a dangerous hybrid or the epitome of smart casual wear, Topman’s take on the trainer is chic and understated.

Raf by Raf Simons -
This haute couture take on the high top has become a seriously trendy trainer. Those who remember the style from its Eighties heyday may be reluctant to sport them again but this Raf pair is the way to do it.

Vans

Puma -
The slim-line shape of Puma’s Future Cat Lo trainers mean they give your feet a sleek outline. Those with big feet might want to go for a broader style, though, as the narrower the shoe, the longer your plates of meat will look.

Cross trainers or running shoes?

Cross trainers or running shoes?

What would make the best gym shoes for me? This is a question we always get asked by our customers and the answer is not always the same. Simply, it depends on what you are going to do in the gym.

You need running shoes if…

The majority of your work is on the treadmill followed by some bike work, rowing and then a few toning weights.
Sounds like you? Well, we would recommend you use running shoes.
The benefits of running shoes in this instance are:
  1. You can purchase a shoe with the right level of support – thereby protecting yourself from injury during your core running discipline (are you a neutral runner, a moderate overpronator, or a serious overpronator?).
  2. A running shoe is lighter
  3. A running shoe is probably more cushioned.

You need a cross trainer if…

You do more circuits, classes and aerobics. And / or you also like to play court sports like squash, badminton etc.
Cross trainers would be better in these circumstances because:
  • X trainers are usually more responsive – lower to the ground – which decreases the risk of injury as there is less chance of going over on your ankle during lateral exercise movement.
  • X-trainers have non-marking soles – often gum rubber - running shoes are made from carbon rubber (for durability) which can mark on court surfaces.
  • During court sports, there is a danger that the constant aggressive changes of direction might make running shoes separate (the upper comes away from the sole). Cross trainers are more protected (often with a bumper) around the toe to add durability and prevent separation.
  • The uppers of cross trainers are usually stronger (often leather) which although slightly heavier gives better medial and lateral support. This is required for the common movements in aerobic and circuit work.
So, as a simple conclusion we would advise that the cross trainer is better if you play a variety of sports and want one shoe for everything. A running shoe is better if the majority of your gym work takes place in the cardio suite.

Choosing The Right trainers Shoe

Choosing The Right trainers Shoe

Shoes get the most use out of any piece of equipment during your workout or just everyday life. Different workouts call for different shoes and I strongly suggest you get properly equip for it. There are shoes for just about everything and there are hybrids for just about everything as well. I have a different pair of shoes for running , weight lifting and cross training, not to mention the dozen I’ve accumulated over the years for casual occasions.
Its hard to pick out the right running shoe for yourself, i strongly suggest you go to a running store and get fitted for your foots length, width and acres. They will also get you set up for your stride of running, height, and  weight but don’t just go to your local sports store. Make sure its a strictly running shoe store if you want to get serious and not just talk to some kid making 8 bucks an hour. A good pair of runners can make a HUGE difference, often stopping shin splints, pain on the balls of your feet and can help with joint pain . Finding the right pair of shoes might just be what you need to get to the next level.
When your doing power lifting exercises improper shoes can put more pressure on the balls of your feet causing you to lean forward and round your back. Everything starts from the ground up, so get yourself a good foundation. For weight lifting you want to have a flat bottom shoe. You can get specialized shoes but that’s pricey so if your not competing I wouldn’t worry about it. Chuck Taylors or the old Adidas Superstars will work along with any flat bottom skate shoe. The right shoe will help with your form and actually help you lift more. Personally i go bare foot for doing any power building exercises like squats , deadlifts or overhead press . But if you don’t feel comfortable barefoot, any of the shoes above will do perfectly fine.
Cross trainers are meant to be a comfortable light shoe that’s good for working out if your not doing power building exercises. You can run in cross trainers but i wouldn’t recommend it if your running any significant distances. If your just getting back into the swing of the gym a pair of cross trainers will be all you need.

we should be very careful in the selection of trainees shoe, men trainers should be very comfortable and stylish

Mens trainers How Converse All Star and Puma trainers compare

Mens trainers How Converse All Star and Puma trainers compare

For guys, choosing your next pair of Trainers is a very important decision to make because your Trainers say a lot about you and your style. Converse All Star and Puma are two of the most popular brands of Mens Trainers  at the moment, so which is better? Converse and Puma are very different in their styles and look and so here is a look at the two brands and how they compare.

Converse All Star Mens Trainers

Converse All Star trainers are quite different to the style of normal sport trainers that immediately come to mind. Converse are styled in the retro all American pump look from the 70s. They are soft in material and are more of a pump than an actual trainer. Converse trainers are not meant for sport wear because they do not offer any support to the foot. These Mens Trainers are for Casual and fashion wear only oppose to Puma Trainers which are more for sport reasons. Converse come in a range of colours and designs, some are plain white or black for example and some are really out there and whacky in patterns and different colours. Converse look great with jeans and a t-shirt and cardigan, they can also be worn with black trousers for smart wear as well. Converse trainers are more of a fashion statement than Puma trainers.

Puma Mens Trainers

Puma trainers are worn mostly for sport purposes such as in the gym or playing a sport but men also wear them for Casual wear as well. Puma have a wide range of looks with their trainers some are bulky and padded out sports trainers and some even though are still padded are quite sleek and slender. Puma is a popular choice of mens trainers because of the name and the choice of designs, you can go for the plain white trainers or something a little more funky such as grey and red. Puma is fashionable while still having the sport look about them. Some men prefer Puma over Converse because they are more manly and feel Converse are more for the younger generation.

Both Puma and Converse are great choices of trainers. Converse has a more retro prep boy look to them while Puma is more sporty looking geared more for the younger and older generation.
